COVID19 – PRECAUTIONS AND POLICY
Rest assured that we are very dilegently doing a thorough clean after guests departure. In addition to our regular cleaning routine which has always been stringent: we are wiping down every touchable surface with bleach or lysol accordingly. This includes door knobs, drawer knobs, light switches, remotes, keys, picnic tables etc.-
As part of the new COVID19 protocol to eliminate tranfer, we are taking the following actions:
-NO HOUSEKEEPING DURING YOUR STAY
-NO COMPLIMENTERY BREAKFAST DURING YOUR STAY
This precaution helps to reduce handling and contact, and keeps both our guests and our staff safer.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and cash. Pre-bookings require a 50% Deposit which will be charged to the credit card provided. The balance will be charged within 24 hours of the arrival date. See below for our cancelation policies.
Check-in Time: 3:00 pm and onward
Late Arrivals: Late arrivals are not a problem. Upon arrival, even if the office is closed, you will be directed to your room. The majority of our guests arrive after 8:pm and our system has worked for over 12 years. However, guests checking in very late are asked to be especially courteous of sleeping neighbors.
Early Check-ins: Please note that arrivals earlier than our check-in time cannot be guaranteed an early room check-in. Our housekeeping standards are extensive and require the period between check-out (11:00 am) and check-in (3:00) for the preparation of our rooms. In addition, our front desk schedule revolves around our expected arrivals. We always try to accommodate. If an early check-in is desired, please call ahead to discuss the possibilities.
Check-out Time: 11:00 am and before. Check-out is simple, just leave you keys in your room.
Early Departures: Payments and incidentals are generally settled on the date of arrival, Therefore our check-out is very informal. We like connecting with our departing guests, so that we can get feedback on their stay. However, if you must depart before our office opens, you will be instructed on our check-out procedure.
Late Check-outs: Please note that departures later than our check-out time cannot always be arranged especially during our busy seasons. Our housekeeping opportunity is between check-out and check-in and we require this period for preparing for the next check-in or for possible walk-ins. Please liaise with our front desk to discuss the possibilities and requirements of a late check-out request.
Please note: As a small lodging establishment with a mere 8 rooms, in a region that is dependent on pre-planned visits, Cancellations can be very impacting. Our cancellation policies vary, based on dates and number of rooms booked. No cancellations are free.
Cancellation requirements:We require 10 days notice of cancellation or 50% Deposit will be held.
Holiday CancellationsWe require 14 days notice of cancellation or 50% Deposit will be held.
Group and multiple room Cancelations:2 or more rooms are considered a group reservation. Group cancelations are customized, based on dates and number of rooms and will be outlined at the time of the reservation.
No-shows and cancelations within 24 hours of arrival: will be charged in full.
Cancellations outside the penalty period will still be charged a $25 processing fee.
Cancellations must be confirmed.
Email or voicemail cancellations without return confirmations are not valid. Telephone distortions and emails directed to Spam are always possible. Please follow up and ensure that your cancellation is received.
Maplewood House Cancellations: Bookings for this one of a kind lodging is Non-Refundable. Depending on the source of your booking, you will either by charged 50% at the time of booking or the full amount. The balance will be charged before arrival.
At the Starlite Motel, we have been pet friendly for more than 15 years. Three of our rooms are designated pet-friendly. Therefore guests with pets must make their reservations directly by phone and must inform us that there is a pet or pets accompanying them, so that they can be accommodated appropriately.
Cost: We do charge an additional $10/night plus tax for each pet.
We allow clean, well-behaved dogs to accompany our guests, provided that the following rules are obeyed (up to a $100 cleaning charge may be applied for noncompliance).
- We must be notified in advance if you will be bringing your dog.
Dogs are not permitted on Hotel bedding or furniture. Please bring other bedding for your pets, if needed.
- Dog owners are required to place the “Do not disturb” sign on your door if dog is left in room. Housekeepers will not enter a room while occupied by a dog. In which case, Guest will be expected to bring their used towels and breakfast basket to the Office to be refreshed.
- Dogs must be clean and well-behaved (house-trained, not prone to frequent barking, biting or destruction.)
- Please be mindful of your dog’s behavior. Frequent or repetitive barking, for the sake of our other guests, cannot be tolerated.
- Please clean up after your dog outside and use our outdoor dumpster for disposal.
- Dogs are required to be on a leash when outdoors.
- The registered guest is responsible for any damages or extra cleaning charges.
Minimum Night Stays
Minimum stays during holiday weekends and peak seasons often apply. Two-night minimums on most weekends, and three-night minimums on holiday weekends are typical. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation that is reduced below our minimum night stay. A Rain check or a credit toward a later stay can be accommodated based on the circumstances.
All of our rooms are non-smoking rooms. A $300 room-recovery fee will be charged for noncompliance and for tampering with smoke alarms. Ashtrays are provided in our backyard area for smoking guests. Smokers, please be courteous.
We provide daily housekeeping services to daily guests, which include: beds made, towels changed, trash removal and breakfast basket refreshed. Guests who do not wish to be disturbed during our housekeeping hours can bring their used towels and breakfast basket to our office to be refreshed.
Please be considerate of our other guests. Shared areas, like our backyard and grilling area, benches and picnic areas in the front yard provide a great opportunity to relax with friends and build great memories. Please be considerate and courteous to our other guests so that everyone can enjoy
The total number of guests should be given when the reservation is made. We must be notified if any additional guests are being added. Maximum occupancies listed in the room descriptions may not be exceeded.
Damages caused to the rented room, or to any of the furniture or linens in the room are the full responsibility of the registered guest.
